Dancing Plague Of 1518

In 1518, a woman began dancing endlessly in public, without any music. She danced for days as people watched her. As she danced, some of the people watching her started dancing as well, as if they were under a spell. Soon over 50 people became caught up in this strange occurrence, dancing continuously for days. They danced so intensely that some collapsed and even died. Local authorities were shocked and believed it might be a curse. This event continued for more than a month before it finally faded away.
